About Me

About

A geospatial developer and earth observation specialist based in Tartu, Estonia. I hold an MSc in Geo-information Science and Earth Observation for Environmental Modelling and Management (GEM Erasmus+), awarded jointly by the University of Tartu and ITC, University of Twente. My MSc thesis developed the GHDI — a novel probabilistic copula-based drought index integrating GRACE TWS, precipitation, evapotranspiration, and soil moisture for monitoring drought in the Greater Horn of Africa.

Since 2021 I've been the founder and host of Geospatially Africa — a podcast dedicated to showcasing geospatial innovations from Africa and the world, with over 21 episodes covering everything from SAR and drone mapping to open data and GIS careers.
